Ingredients

  • 1 Cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 Cup natural peanut butter
  • 2 tsp coconut oil
  • 6 Cups Chex cereal
  • 1 Cup vanilla protein powder or collagen powder

Optional Toppings

  • Sea Salt
  • Extra drizzle of melted chocolate

Instructions

  1. Add the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and coconut oil to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second increments, stirring after each round, until the mixture is fully melted and smooth. It should be glossy and easy to stir.
  2. Add about 3 cups of the Chex cereal to a large mixing bowl. Pour half of the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently fold with a spatula until evenly coated. Take your time so the cereal stays intact.
  3. Add the remaining Chex to the bowl and pour over the rest of the chocolate mixture. Fold again carefully until every piece is fully coated in that rich chocolate peanut butter mixture.
  4. Next, sprinkle in half of the protein powder and gently fold to combine. Add the remaining protein powder and fold again until everything is evenly coated.
  5. If you prefer the bag method, add all the protein powder to a large zip-top bag or paper bag. Transfer the chocolate-coated Chex into the bag, seal it, and shake and tumble until fully coated.

Let the puppy chow cool completely so it can set and crisp up. Once cooled, store in an airtight container.
